Last Friday, September 1, President Donald Trump proclaimed September 3, 2017, as a National Day of Prayer for the Victims of Hurricane Harvey and for our National Response and Recovery Efforts. This was a historic call to the entire nation to pray for the great needs in Texas and Louisiana. Millions of Americans pray for our President, Vice-President, and the leaders of our nation on a regular basis. Those of us who do, know the truthfulness of Proverbs 21:1, “A king’s heart is like channeled water in the Lord’s hand: He directs it wherever he chooses.” We believe deeply that God alone turned the President and his administration to believe prayer was needed over the severity of the issues in our nation. While this proclamation addressed the events that have captured the nation for days and was absolutely historic in its proportion, we also know we face other major issues in our land. Wildfires are raging in the west, especially in Southern California and the state of Montana. While both the House and the Senate convene in Washington again following days of rest and work in their home states, we need them to come together to do the business of our nation. Looming in the background is the living reality of the severe threat of North Korea against the United States. Continue reading
CRY OUT AMERICA is a prayer initiative that began after terrorists attacked our nation on September 11, 2001.These planned attacks resulted in nearly 3,000 deaths, 400 of which were police officers and firefighters. Since that day, America and the world have never been the same. Cry Out America reminds us of these attacks on our nation and of our desperate need for God each day. As America remembers this day, we need to see it become a day where millions of Americans join for a few moments in various locations to cry out to God for our nation. We already know of a few thousand gatherings that will be taking place. If you are having a gathering with other Americans to talk to God about our nation on September 11, please contact us at http://www.cryoutamerica.us/find_event. Cry Out America was initiated by the Awakening America Alliance in 2008, but in order to strengthen the call nationwide, it was recently entrusted to the National Day of Prayer Task Force. Therefore, even in this late hour, I want to call upon all of us to focus on these matters as we CRY OUT AMERICA. Continue reading

Heal us!” Coast to coast, from New England to the west, from the mid-west to our southern borders, God’s people gathered to pray. From prayer flights over all 50 state capitols to thousands meeting in churches, parks, city halls, and stadiums, intercession was made—and the God of heaven and earth heard! Because of God’s faithfulness, and for “His name’s sake” the National Day of Prayer was once again center stage in our nation’s capital! From the morning’s reception at the White House to the evening’s congressionally sponsored gathering in historic Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol Building. God and prayer were once again given honor by our nation’s leaders. Continue reading
